About Us
As explained in the introduction on the home page it started with a purchase of an LPG converted Carlton as a fore runner to a conversion on a 4.2l Audi A8. The fuel savings were impressive, getting 650 miles from £45 of gas. It just so happens that the owner knows a lot about cars and the installers he spoke to did not impress him.
The information was hard to come by and the quality was lack lustre. He then sold the Carlton and bought a Jeep Cherokee which cost the same to run as a small family car. His reputation spread by word of mouth, first family and friends then calls from other people. His experience broadened because he started doing his own trouble shooting on the equipment that was installed on the cars he bought and sold, he has developed in depth knowledge of many of the LPG systems on the market. Soon he started getting queries from the very installers he used for his own conversions especially on how to diagnose and fix difficult problems. Our Mission
Our mission is to provide superior responsive service on all aspects of environmentally friendly fuel systems. From the communication of information to the installation of the chosen system and the care required to ensure many miles of trouble free motoring.
Why Us
What we found when we started out in this industry was that, even though the installation of systems is governed by regulation, the access to information in an easy to understand manner was hard to come by. It took a lot of searching to get information and piece together a complete picture. The information (once pieced together) formed an absolutely compelling case for conversion to LPG.
That was the beginning of our belief in this technology and a passion to bring it to a much wider audience, which is what we have been doing since. The company has grown so much that we have moved premises recently to meet the demand we uncovered.
We take very seriously the quality of our services. What sets us apart from our competition is our undertaking to provide easy to understand advice and a comprehensive service that covers design, installation, documentation, certification, application to DVLA, personal demonstration to the owner and annual servicing. Basically you can rest assured that nothing further will be required for you to take advantage of this technology.
The people
The company is owned by Gurch Samra, he has been involved with car design and manufacture for 30 years and has helped develop much of the leading edge technology that is now familiar to the car user. Gurch's career spans Jaguar, Rover, BMW Porsche, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Chrysler and Honda. He has also been instrumental in developing specifications for one off custom built cars e.g. bullet proof cars, electric powered cars etc.
Gurch runs the workshop and oversees the quality of every installation. Gurch has a distinctive reputation in car electronic systems and is regularly called upon to undertake system assessments. For more information on Gurch click here.
Also supporting Gurch is Karl Sanger. Karl has been working in technology product management and marketing for 20 years and is responsible for providing the information and ensuring customers are delighted with the service from LPG-Cars.
The quality of our installation
We pay attention to every detail so that the quality you get from LPG-Cars is of the highest standard. Of course all our work complies with the Codes of Practice of the Motor Vehicle (Construction & Use Regulations). We are approved installers by the LPG Association (the industries governing body), as well as by Calor Gas, Shell, BP and Conoco (Jet). The company is accredited with installation of the BRC system.
